JC STEM Lab
The JC STEM Lab Initiative was established in 2021 with a HK$500 million donation from the Trust to support laboratory set-up for scholars awarded under the Government-initiated Global STEM Professorship Scheme.
The JC STEM Lab Initiative aims to nurture STEM talent in Hong Kong and promote the translation of new science and technology into social impact. 49 JC STEM Labs were established.
The funded JC STEM Labs focus on a wide range of research areas, including life sciences and medicine, engineering and computer science, and physical sciences. The initiative provides local STEM talent with opportunities to collaborate with top-tier STEM researchers and jointly pursue scientific research and technology transfer.
